GRCC 2021 Fall Swiss
The Fall Swiss consisted of four rounds, one per week, at G/55;d5. It overlapped the West Michigan Championship, which took place on a weekend between rounds 2 and 3. It was necessary for me to skip the second round, as it conflicted with an important prior engagement; specifically, my second wedding anniversary.
My first game was won by resignation after my opponent blundered. The other two games were both winning, until suddenly they weren't; in round 3, a one-move blunder converted a comfortable advantage to my opponent's mate-in-two, and in round 4, a crushing advantage was nullified when I ran out of time.
